Organisations must focus on performance intelligence and the right type of leadership in order to enhance productivity for economic growth.
Mr. Deiric McCann, a leading global authority on Performance Intelligence stated this at the first Performance Intelligence conference in Nigeria organised by Profiles Internationals in Lagos.
Describing Performance Intelligence has information that would help the organization deploy staff to where they will perform most, McCain noted that the performance of a staff on the job is determined by how engaged he/she is with the job, and such engagement is driven by ‘Job Fit’, and relationship with the leadership.
He said that increased performance is guaranteed when organizations deploy staff based on ‘Job Fit’, and create the right leadership environment.
Country Director, Profiles International, Nigeria, Tilda Mmegwa said the conference is part of strategies the organisation had outlined in its quest to help organisations in Nigerian attain true global competitiveness and adopt international best practice in their operations. Mmegwa noted that there are challenges with effective implementation of policies as well as expected outcomes.
She said, “The greatest challenge many organisations have faced in optimising the potential of their human capital base has been that of finding the right methodologies and strategies for getting the best from their workforce and building a constituent, high performance culture.
