ADO EKITI—The Labour Party LP, in Ekiti State, yesterday described as misplaced the allegation that it was planning to bomb the Government House ahead of June 21 election. It called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP and the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, to invite the All Progressives Party, APC state chairman, Chief Jide Awe, to substantiate the allegation.
Chief Awe had at a briefing in Ado Ekiti, alleged that the LP and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were planning to bomb the Government House.
But, LP governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, Opeyemi Bamidele, while reacting, said it would be a great security threat and abandonment of one’s responsibility should the police fail to investigate such a weighty allegation.
