Minna— Governor Mua’zu Babangida Aliyu of Niger State has expressed his desire for a member of his cabinet to succeed him in office.
This was even as he said that he would not impose any candidate on the electorate, saying that it would be undemocratic to do so.
Aliyu said any aspirant interested in any political office should seek votes from the people.
He spoke, yesterday, when turbaned chiefs in Minna paid him a courtesy visit at Government House.
He explained that his wish was for a member of his cabinet to succeed him so to continue with the good work they all started together.
”I have no anointed candidate to take over from me but I pray that someone from my cabinet would emerge so as to continue with the good work we started together,” he said.
