ABUJA— MINISTER of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed, disclosed yesterday that the FCT administration would install special mechanisms to detect metal or explosive devices on FCT high capacity buses.

He said the move will preserve human lives, just as he condemned the Nyanya motor park attack and described it as wicked and heartless.

Mohammed, who cut short his trip to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj to rush back to Nigeria, promised that the FCTA would pick all medical bills of injured persons.

He disclosed this  after visiting the scene of the blast and the Asokoro Hospital where some of the survivors were receiving treatment.

The minister said:  “The FCT Administration would meet with security agencies to exploit ways of providing additional security for motor parks, markets and other public places in the Federal Capital Territory.”

Senator Mohammed immediately directed the FCT Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretariat, Dr. Ademola Onakomaiya to immediately refer any serious case to referral or specialist hospitals either government or privately owned and the bills be paid from the coffers of the FCT Administration.

Senator Mohammed who commiserated  with the people  who lost their loved ones and those who survived,  but sustained various degrees of injuries, promised to provide full medical treatment to all those injured including feeding.

The Minister who condemned the attack, described it  as wicked and heartless.
