Anambra records 80 per cent of MDGs targets — Official

Abuja—Chief Nzemeka Olisa, the Chairman, Anambra Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, said yesterday that the state had achieved more than 80 per cent target of Millennium Development Goals, MDGs.

Olisa told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the success was recorded in the areas of education and others.
“Making reference to my state, Anambra, I know we may not have 100 per cent achievement, but I know we have already over 80 percent achievements of the MDGs’ goal.

“With what is on ground now, with the way the implementation of projects are moving in my state, by the time we do a final push, predominantly the state will achieve the goal, especially with respect to  access to school.
