Japan gives 2 NGOs N34m grant for grassroots development projects


In efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, MDGs, for 2015, the Japanese government and two non-governmental organisations, NGOs, yesterday, signed a grant of N34 million for the provision of two projects for Agyana and Pagada communities in Abaji and Gwagwalada local government areas  in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The two NGOs, Love-N-Compassion of Nigeria and Doma Educational Development Foundation, are to implement school construction and cassava projects at Pagada 2 and Agyana respectively.
Speaking at the signing of the deal, under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project, GGP, in Abuja, the Japanese Ambassador to NIgeria, Mr. Ryuichi Shoji, said the projects were initiated to make the lives of the people better.
