BENIN— crisis is brewing within the Accord Party, AP, over the nomination of former Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Rasheed Ladoja and Mohammed Nalado by the party as its delegates to the National Conference with their rejection by a faction of the party led by Rev. Isaac Adeniyi and Dr. Samson Isibor.
A statement in Benin, yesterday, by Rev. Isaac Adeniyi and Dr. Samson Isibor, factional National Chairman and Secretary, respectively, at the end of the party’s National Executive Council, NEC, and the National Working Committee, NWC, said Alhaji Mohammed Nalado and Rasheed Ladoja were no longer members of AP, having earlier been expelled in line with the party’s constitution.
It said: “We reject in its entirety the inclusion of the two in the list of delegates to the proposed conference as representatives of AP.”
