Emmanuel Emenike is already fit after picking a minor injury, which excluded him from his club’s last 3 league games.
Nigerian striker had a personal tragedy, as he lost his sister-in-law recently.
He was permitted by the club to attend to the funeral in Lagos. Unfortunately transport delays made it impossible for him to return early enough for Wednesday’s training session in Turkey.
Fenerbahce then decided to organize a special training session only for Emenike. This underscores how much everybody counts on the powerful forward to deliver.
It is not surprising though. Without Emenike in the last 3 games, Fenerbahce won only one and lost in two others.
The club’s advantage over second placed Besiktas dropped to 5 points and championship title for Yellow Canaries is not as sure, as it was several weeks ago. Everyone in Fenerbahce wants Emenike fully healthy and ready ahead of Monday’s clash against Elazigspor.
