Birnin Kebbi—The Kebbi Government has earmarked N140.6 million for the construction of four additional nomadic schools to emnhance access to education for children of nomads.
Alhaji Nasiru Masama, the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Saidu Dakingari on Nomadic Affairs made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, yesterday in Birnin Kebbi.

Masama said the money would be used to construct four primary schools, one each in Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru Local Government Areas of the state.
“The Council Chairmen of those areas will determine a suitable location for the schools,” he said.

The aide said the state government would also establish adult literacy classes for the nomads, in addition to providing learning materials and qualified teachers to the schools for effective teaching and learning.
According to him, arrangements have been made to secure admission in tertiary institutions for students from nomadic schools who completed secondary education with required grades.
