President Goolduck Jonathan has condoled with Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State over the death of his father, Alhaji Shehu Shema, yesterday, at the National Hospital in Abuja.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Reuben Abati yesterday, said “as the governor and members of his family mourn their father who was an accomplished farmer and notable community leader, President Jonathan urges them to also give thanks to Almighty Allah for Alhaji Shehu’s long and fulfilled life.

“The President believes that in passing on at the grand old age of 86, Alhaji Shehu will return to his Maker in peace and contentment having produced worthy offsprings such as Governor Shema.
