Foremost food and beverage company, Cadbury Nigeria Plc, has recorded such a feat, consistently satisfying the yearnings of its numerous consumers over the years – especially through its flagship product, Bournvita.

Whenever the word ‘Cadbury’ is mentioned, its flagship product ‘Bournvita’ readily comes to mind. The reason is not far-fetched: The tasty food drink has over the years been a day-starter for adults and children alike.
During the recent launch of Bournvita 500g packs in Enugu, the company’s Managing Director, Emil Moskofian, stressed that Cadbury recognised the yearnings of Nigerians for quality products, a factor which he said influenced the company’s investment of over $100 million to expand and upgrade its plants and facilities in Nigeria.
“Besides unveiling of the new 500g packs, the media was also conducted round the company production lines to affirm its commitment to uphold international stan-dard best practices in food production and handling,” he disclosed.
It would be recalled that Cadbury recently received an endorsement from the Nutritional Society of Nigeria (NSN), the second endorsement so far from the society in five years. This development, no doubt, confirms that Cadbury takes its production processes and nutrition credentials seriously.
According to Moskofian, Cadbury Bournvita is the only food drink endorsed by NSN in Nigeria and the process of endorsement by NSN took over a year. “They checked everything, including our processes, quality standard, inspection of the raw materials and facilities, production process and at the end, were able to confirm that our product meets international stan-dards. Cadbury is known for quality and we are not going to jeopardise that. At Cadbury Nigeria; safety, quality and hygiene are top on our priority,” he quipped.
Speaking on the new upsized Cadbury Bournvita 500g jar and 500g refill pack, Moskofian said, “This upsizing to 500g pack is aimed at adding more vitality to our consumers, giving more value with every purchase of Cadbury Bournvita.”
In his estimation, Cadbury Bournvita has been part of the fabric of the Nigerian society over the last 5 decades, providing nourishment and vitality to generations, adding that “it is the only food drink manufacturer in Nigeria that has direct control over the processing of the finest Nigerian cocoa, from pod to cup and finally, Cadbury Bournvita is manufactured in our world- class manufacturing plant by a highly trained team of experts.”
