Home Science and Chrisland schools have emerged champions of the Junior and senior categories of the just concluded 6th All primary school Pedachess tournament which was held at Chrisland school in Lagos. The two day Chess tournament attracted an unprecedented number of participants as 48 primary schools in Lagos featured in the event that had over 500 children in attendance.

The second and  third positions in the junior category was won by the duo of Karis School and Daniels Elementary School while Home Science and NEPA Staff School got the second and third positions in the senior category.

A pupil of Karis School, Anjola Bank-Olemoh bagged the overall best player award in the junior category while O’Neal Egwuatu emerged the best overall player in the senior category.

Professor Abisogun Leigh who was one of the dignitaries that graced the occasion remarked that the future of Chess in the country is on the rise due to the amazing resources available in the country.
