BENIN — STAKEHOLDERS in Edo State, Tuesday, said the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, was not sincere with developmental realities in Edo State and advised him to appreciate the ongoing developmental projects in the state.
Under the umbrella of “Edo is in safe Hands” in a statement said unless the party chairman was blind and deaf that he could not feel, hear or see the completed and ongoing projects of the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration.
The statement by Washington Osa Osifo claimed Orbih goofed when he said “Edo State Government had no project to showcase to the visiting Good Governance Team,” saying “for us in Edo, we are aware that the Good Governance Team does not have anything to look out for when they come here.”
Osifo described the statement credited to Orbih as reckless, stating: “This is a reckless statement from a party chairman who does not know the definition of good governance. For Orbih to say there is nothing to show in Edo, what about the road leading to Orbih’s village? Is it not dualised? Can’t he see? Water is flowing in his village at Ogbonna, right at his backyard and the two primary schools (Imaikene and Oboarekpe primary schools) in his village have been reconstructed with modern facilities. Can’t he see or feel?
”The road from Ekperi to Anegbete is almost completed and that means it is no longer a difficult terrain and yet he cannot attest to these projects.”
