The Lagos State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Waheed Enitan Oshodi has declared Lagos state government’s determination to host “the best National Sports Festival” in the history of the games.

Royal Dutch Shell PLC is facing two lawsuits over its activities in Nigeria, after lawyers acting for a Niger Delta community whose land and water was polluted from a 2009 oil spill lodged a series of actions against the Anglo-Dutch giant in Port Harcourt and a separate suit was filed in London over two earlier spills in the same region.

Nigeria’s Oil and gas free trade zone has been described as the panacea for economic development. The Head, Oil and gas Free Trade Zone Authority, Mr John Abbey, made the assertion recently in Lagos during the FTZ Nigeria 2012, stressing saying that the zone would provide the needed platform for industrialisation.
