Group calls for probe of NSPMC management

BY CHARLES KUMOLU

ANTI—Corruption Network, has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to investigate the management and board of Nigeria Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, over the alleged mismanagement of N2.1billion in the company.

It also urged the Federal Government not to sweep  the matter under the carpet.

Briefing newsmen during a protest yesterday in Lagos, the Lagos State Coordinator of the group Mr. Ayo Oyalowo called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prosecute anyone found culpable.

We warn that any attempt to sweep this case under the carpet as usuall will point to the fact that the government is culpable.’’

Continuing, the anti corruption group said, ‘’It simply means that four thousand, two hundred packets of N1000 notes took a walk. Only a thirty ton truck or about three bullion vans can move such a huge volume of physical cash. How do we explain the disappearance  of such a huge amount of physical cash without any trace.’’
