ASABA – Niger Delta Indigenous Movement for Radical Change, NDIMRC, Thursday, said insecurity in Delta State had degenerated to emergency proportions and demanded immediate transfer of the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Tsafe.
NDIMRC President, Nelly Emma in a statement called on the Inspector General of Police Mr. Hafiz Ringim to transfer Tsafe, adding that investors were scared from the state overrun by kidnappers with banks being raided by armed robbers, daily.
Also calling on Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to act fast, NDIMRC noted: “We are deeply concerned over the security challenges in Delta State. In December alone, 25 policemen and five soldiers were killed by armed robbers across the state.
Many civilians were robbed and killed by armed robbers last year and it was now clear that the Police Commissioner, Mr. Tsafe, has lost the battle to the men of the underworld.”
