MC Loph
FINALLY, the remains of popular rapper, MC Loph and his sister, Chinwe, were laid to rest amid high emotions last Friday, October 28, at their family compound, Ugwuaro, Anambra State.
Loph’s only sister, Chinwe, was buried on Wednesday while the singer’s remains was laid to rest on Friday.
A gloomy atmosphere pervaded the vicinity throughout the duration of the burial rites.
Among dignitaries that thronged Loph’s town to pay their last rest to the departed musician were Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, former Governor of the Central Bank Nigeria, Chief Chukwuma Soludo and a host of others. There were not many representatives from the entertainment industry especially in the music circle, where the deceased held sway.
The burial was organised by Morgan Entertainment, the label company under which the late Mc Loph was signed on to before his untimely demise.
The singer met his untimely end on September 14, while travelling to his home town ahead of his traditional marriage. He had a fatal accident which claimed his life on the spot and that of his only sister, Chinwe.
Also the late singer was in the company of his fiancee when he crashed his car into a deep gulley while trying to avoid the dangerous potholes that litter the expressway. But his fiancee survived the crash with minor injuries. .
Prior to his demise the hardworking musician had recently finished recording a duet with Faze in a song title I Know What The Girls Want.
He had recently in the words of a close aide concluded talks with a prominent music video producer, Patrick Ellis to begin shooting of an accompanying video for the new single which currently enjoying air play nation wide.
The singer is most popular for his hit rendition of a remix of Late Osita Osadebe’s hit song, Osondi Owendi’.
