After several months of thrilling his Nigerian fans, Onyenze, the highlife apostle and nephew of late highlife maestro, Steven Osita Osadebe, has landed in South Africa to further wow his Diasporan fans.
The three-week tour will see the Physical and Health Education graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), performing live in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Famously known as Onyenze Nwa Amobi, the Anambra State-born crooner became a professional recording artiste in 2000, with the release of his first single titled, Ndidi Amaka.
Other hit tracks from the entertainer who won the best Contemporary highlife award in 2007, include: Ndi no n’ofe, Ndidi Amaka, Ndi ji ututu bia Eko, After Six bottles and Olulu M.
Aside playing in some of the biggest galleries in South Africa while on the tour, the cerebral musician has also concluded work on his latest album, titled Afamefuna, which is billed for release before the end of the year.
