FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corporation has named David Ross its Senior Vice President of Operations for FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.
Ross succeeds Hamdi Osman, who retired from FedEx Express after over 30 years of service, and will be based at the company’s Middle East headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, UAE.
Ross began his career at FedEx Express in 1992 in Sydney, Australia, managing the company’s ground operations until he was promoted to Managing Director of Australasia and the Pacific Islands in 1993.
A year later Indonesia was added to his area of responsibilities.
By November 1995, Ross moved took take up the position of Managing Director for Hong Kong and Macau, one of the important districts for FedEx in Asia Pacific.
Having successfully developed operations there, he was appointed as Vice President of the North Pacific Region in September 1998, responsible for all corporate strategies and operations across Korea , Japan , Guam and Taiwan .
In April 2005, Ross was appointed Regional Vice President of FedEx Express, South Pacific, based out of Singapore.
In April 2011, he was made Vice President, Integration and Domestic Operations in India.
In his new capacity as Senior Vice President, he will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Express operations in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa; made up of countries like the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, etc.
