LAGOS—The peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed in Ajegunle area of Lagos State has been attributed to the efforts of the Peace and Security committee of the Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government to address some of the challenges facing the residents.

Mr. Kamorudeen Bayewu said he revived the Peace and Security committee immediately he took over the mantle of leadership of the council because he has realized that without enduring peace, no meaningful development can take place.

The mandate of the committee according to him, was to deliberate on issues affecting the local government.

He expressed satisfaction that his administration has been able to record tremendous achievement in the area through the committee. “From this meetings we get information from organisations and individuals to know what is happening in their areas, and if there is problem emanating from any quarter, we will nip it to the bud.
