Club Africain of Tunisia are in town with an aim to shock Sunshine of Akure in the first leg semi-final of the CAF Confederations Cup billed for Saturday at the Gateway Stadium Abeokuta.
Club Africain are determined to get a favourable result after preparing themselves with a play tour of Saudi Arabia ahead of the game.
“They are well motivated for the match. They went to Saudi Arabia for a couple of friendlies ahead of the game. They hope to secure a win in Nigeria,” said Zouhaier Ward a Tunisian journalist monitoring the club.
However, Sunshine of Akure chief, Mike Idoko is not amused. He stated that his team is equally prepared for the encounter.
“We have done all that there is to be done and we hope to continue with a our impressive run in the competition so far.”
Sunshine are hoping to win the title in their debut appearance in continental title chase. Ondo governor Olusegun Mimiko last week unveiled the Akure township stadium, where Sunshine will hopefully complete their fairy tale run and win the trophy to mark the opening of the stadium.
