United Bank for Africa’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, UBA Foundation, said its essay competition for secondary schools in Nigeria has recorded significant reception among students, as it has been inundated with large numbers of entries from senior secondary school students across the country.
Ms. Ijeoma Aso, Managing Director, UBA Foundation, said the essay compe-tition is a follow-up to the Foundation’s just-concluded Read Africa project.
According to a statement by Mr. Charles Aigbe, Group Head, Corporate Communi-cations, UBA, reports made available by the Foundation show that it has received quite a large number of entries from students since the calls for entries opened Monday, September 12. It added that more entries are expected before the close of entries in October.
