ABUJA – Amidst calls for an upward review of the federation’s  revenue allocations to state governments, the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, has promised a new equitable sharing formula among the three tiers of government.

Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Elias Mbam, told Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State, who was in Abuja, yesterday, to push the position of the governors that the commission would be fair to all beneficiaries of the federation account.

He said: “The commission will adopt global standards and local peculiarities using different indices to arrive at  an appropriate and acceptable sharing formula for the country”.
