Monarch flays UNICAL students’ protest

Calabar—The Clan Head and Community leader of Akim Qua Clan in Calabar Municipality, Ntoe Lawrence Ekong Etagbo 1V has condemned the recent destruction of property by the protesting students of University of Calabar.

The monarch of Akim Qua, the host community of the university, in a statement in Calabar, yesterday,  said it was unimaginable that young people in this modern Nigeria could destroy facilities put in place for their learning.

Ntoe Etagbo,  who described the action of the students as “misplaced aggression,” wondering whether those behind the destruction of the facilities were fit to be awarded certificates of good character and learning at the conclusion of their academic career in the university.
