Coordinator, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, South-South Youth Vanguard, Mr. Bekes Akpere, has lauded President Goodluck Jonathan for the re-appointment of Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke to head the Petroleum Ministry.
He described her as a square peg in a square hole.
Akpere in a statement in Warri, Delta State, yesterday, said Diezani, during her stay at the ministry in the last dispensation, initiated several reforms, which had repositioned the Petroleum Industry in line with international best practices.
The group noted that Diezani brought her experiences from the oil industry to bear on the Ministry, adding that she gave a good account of herself during the Senate screening.
Akpere urged her to carry her reforms in the petroleum sector to the letter, as Nigerians would be better for it and be open to suggestions to enable her succeed in line with Mr. president’s transformation agenda.
He said her reforms were geared towards job creation, local content development, and availability of petroleum products across the country.
