Ochuko’s ready to roll

By Charles Mgbolu

Ochuko Emmanuel Ogbu-Sifo may not have won any of the mouth-watering prizes at the MTN project fame season 3, but he’s struck gold in a brand-new album.

He told Showtime during the week that he’s been hard at work in the studio putting finishing touches to the new album he plans to launch before the end of the year.

Showtime however gathered that none of his previous housemates in the MTN project fame season 3 academy will be featuring in the album with the tentative title D “O” factor.

Advancing reason for his action, Ochuko said “Since this is my first album, I’ll rather I concentrate on doing it alone. I see this as an opportunity to show the world the stuff I’m made of.”

The young singer added “I have a new single out titled Get Up that I’m trying to push. It’s one of the songs I recorded back in the project fame academy but I re arranged the song a bit. I’m also looking at shooting the video in August”

He gave insight on what this video looks like saying, “I’m not looking at those usual videos where they use clubs and so on. Everyone should forget about me shooting my video in a club because the concept of the song is that you don’t need a club to have fun.”

He continued “the album is a 12- tracker, but I haven’t really finalised all the songs so I can’t tell you what songs I’m actually going to use until they are finished. It’s not perfect yet and I want the songs to be just right.”

Ochuko is not on a record label now but says that’s not his problem. “I’m not really looking for a label now but rather a management team. Labels can come later. It’s a management team that I’m looking out for now.”
