Igbo community lauds Fashola on cabinet

LAGOS— The Igbo Community and Non-indigene Association in Lagos has commended Governor Babatunde  Fashola for appointing proven technocrats and men of integrity as commissioners into his cabinet.

Rising from a meeting in Lagos at the weekend, Chairman of the association, Eze Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, said:   “ We, the Igbo community and non-Indigenes in Lagos, hereby commend His Excellencies, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, our party national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, for the re-appointment of our son, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Ben Akabueze.’’

Nwachukwu, who was chairman of the 15- man mobilization committee for the re-election of Governor Fashola, said further:   ‘’ We thank God for the re-appointment of Pastor Ben Akabueze because he is a dynamic technocrat, a detribalized Nigerian, who has been loyal to the course and aspirations of Lagos State government in the past four years.

“The Igbo and non-Indigenes in Lagos, therefore, have implicit confidence in his ability to deliver just like he has done in the past because he is a man of integrity, accountability, who believes in the rule of law.”

He added  that with this appointment, Governor Fashola had shown that he had a team committed to the continuation of the infrastructural development of Lagos State.
