Senforce Insurance bankrolls Delta State League

Insurance giants, Senforce is set to splash a whooping N10m as sponsorship fund for the Delta State League Division 1&2 which will commence in two weeks time.

Christened “Dr.G.I.M. Otubu State League”, the tournament apart from being a grassroot concept of the Delta State Football Association is also a platform for teams to compete for a slot in the National Amateur Division Three.

The Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick,who doubles as the helmsman of the Delta State Sports Commission, informed the sporting media that Senforce Insurance had always lived up to its high billing of giving back to the society and the youths.

He praised the MD/CEO of Senforce Insurance, Mr. Dere Otubu for keeping the ideals and vision of his father and founder of the company Dr. GIM Otubu alive by immortalizing him through youth football.

Meanwhile, the F.A Chairman has also informed that a deal brokered with Zenith Bank to sponsor Delta Referees pre_season seminar and Cooper Test has reached advanced stage.

As part of the deal, Pinnick disclosed that two Referees will travel overseas on internship for a couple of weeks.

It will be recalled that the Amaju Pinnick_led State F.A, through exclusive sponsorship sent a Referee, Paul Umuago and a match Commissioner, Dave Egho to London last year on internship. The internship paid_ off as the former earned a FIFA badge, while the latter was elected 1st vice_president of the Nigeria Football Referees Association (NRA) upon return.
