Over 100 Reverend Fathers had, Monday evening gathered at Ibusa, where they held a mass and called on the abductors to release their colleague unharmed without further delay as they (Reverend Fathers) had prayed for their forgiveness.

But the clerics however warned if the abductors failed to embrace the clemency offered them and release their colleague immediately that they should be ready for the consequences of their nefarious act.

According to him, “they (kidnappers) realized that security operatives were closing up on them, they released him and no ransom was paid”, said Muka.

In a related development, a police man was also killed by suspected armed robbers in Ibusa on Sunday , same night the the Reverend Father was abducted.
