The film Ije – The Journey, produced and directed by Chineze Anyaene and distributed by the Silverbird Distribution Company have respectively won the Highest Box Office (Gross) Nigerian Movie and Best Distributors Awards (Nigerian Movies) 2010.

Presentations of the awards to the recipients, which also included winners of the NFC Annual Film Essay Competition, took place during the 4th edition of the Corporation’s 2010/2011 Annual Film Lecture series held at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Winners of the 2010/2011 Film Essay Competition are Anuli Agina who came first and Vivian Torbunde and Jonathan Eze who came second and third respectively.

The venue of the event, Cinema Hall 4 of the Galleria was filled to capacity with guests and film enthusiasts who turned up to for the event.

Guests cut across film makers, distributors, actors, directors, film tutors/lecturers, students, members of the Armed Forces (Air Force, Navy, and Army), Federal and State government officials, representatives of Government Agencies, media organizations and entertainment journalists.
