Ogboru, Nwoko protest Delta North Senate result

Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, governorship candidate in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru and other chieftains of the party, stormed the headquarters of the National Independent Electoral Commission in Asaba, Delta State,  yesterday, protesting the declaration of Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the winner of the Delta North Senatorial seat.

Chief Ogboru was accompanied by the national deputy chairman of the party,  Sir Olisaemeka Akamukali,  state party chairman, Chief Tony Ezeagwu, and the Delta Central Senator designate, Chief PiusEwherido, the Ika Federal Constituency candidate, Mr Festus Chukwuyem, the Oshimili North and South House of Assembly aspirants,  Mr Uche Ugeh and Nwanze Oduah, and the Aniocha-Oshimili Federal constituency, Mr Okomah Ngo- Martins, who were at INEC office to protest what they described “as daylight robbery of the victory of Prince Ned Nwoko, who was favoured from field reports, to win the election.”
