Lori-Ogbebor petitions IG over house invasion

BY CHARLES KUMOLU
PROMINENT Niger Delta activist, Chief Rita Lori-Ogbebor, has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Hafiz Ringim, to prevail on the Delta State Police Command to investigate the alleged pre-election violence perpetrated in her Warri residence by a prominent Warri politician  (names withheld) a day before the Governorship/Houses of Assembly elections.

She also urged the police leadership to ensure that the mastermind of the violence was brought to book, to serve as a deterrent to anyone, who may tow the same line in future.

At a briefing, Thursday, in Lagos, a visibly-angry Chief Lori-Ogbebor, alleged that the politician, chairman of one of the  political parties in Warri South West Local Government Area and his loyalists, violently invaded her residence. She said that it resulted to a bloody fight and vandalisation of her property.
