Speaking with Inside Out Premier League, the former Flying Eagles coach said the team is taking it easy knowing full well that fund from the state government is not forth coming but expressed optimism on cash flow from the government after the general elections.

“We have not met with the technical committee of the club on the issue of signing of players, when we meet, we will assess the players on ground and know if changes will be needful.

“I am happy that everybody in the club appreciates the effort we are putting in now and also knowing that what was obtainable five years ago is no more so now. That is why we are a bit lenient with the players. But I believe after the elections, Kano State government will release funds for the club and give it good attention.

“We are trying to look at were the team performed badly so se we can correct it. I thank God that we are working hand-in-hand with the management and I believe by next week I will make public our decision,” coach Bosso said.

Rangers owe players backlog of sign-on fees  –  Chime

Enugu Rangers are currently in deep financial crises and as result has not been able to  complete payment of players sign-fee  for last season. About 55% of the sign-on-fee for last season was paid.

The sign-on-fee for players for the current season is yet to be paid. This also affects the technical crew as their salaries are also yet to be paid.

While other clubs are planning and preparing for the second round of the league, Rangers  are yet to know their fate until after the governorship election.

The club’s Media Officer,  Foster Chime, who disclosed this to Inside Out Premier League, said the club is not enjoying  good times following the financial crisis.

According to him, every financial matter of the club will be sorted out after the governorship election as promised by the state governor.

“Football is about money and when there is no money, it becomes a problem no matter  how experienced the  players  in the team are. The financial situation has really  affected the players. I will not blame them  because most of these players are heads of their respective  families  who need money to meet their financial needs. Even the club is still owing 11 match bonuses which is about N9 million.

“Though we are also preparing for the next round but without money,  we will be no where in the league. We have also signed 10 players but without money how do maintain the players. It is really painful. For now our hope is after the   governorship election as promised by the government. I only pray it goes in our favour,” he said
