WITH barely one month to the governorship elections, activities in different states have reached feverish levels as the candidates campaign for votes. In some, it is easier to recognise where the pendulum swings to; in others, it is too close to call.

ABIA State branch of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, said yesterday that it had not adopted any of the governorship candidates in the state, saying it was treating them on equal basis and praying for them.
State chairman of CAN, Bishop Goddy Okafor, who said this in Aba while briefing journalists, explained that CAN, being an umbrella of all Christians, could not adopt one candidate against the others as they are all Christians.

The Minister of Health, Professor Christian Onyebuchi Chukwu, yesterday lambasted striking doctors in Lagos and their counterparts across the nation saying that doctors found picketing their colleagues should be locked up or have their licences withdrawn.
