ADO-EKITI – A violent clash broke out at Kota, Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government area of the state yesterday between the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leading to the death of two people.
Sources in the area told Vanguard that members of the two political parties had engaged each other in a face -off over the removal of posters and billboards of the various candidates vying for different elective positions in the April general elections.
Names of those killed were given as Faluyi Kehinde and ,Micheal Ipindola.
After the clash, political associates, families and friends of one of the deceased decided to take his corpse to the Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti.
On arriving at Ado Ekiti, the group who came in convoy of vehicles were prevented from entering the Governor’s office by security operatives led by its Commander, Mr Samuel Etafe Erane
