As agitation for another northern consensus president aside Alhaji Atiku Abubakar continues to hot up in the country, National Association of Arewa Citizens Action for Change, ACAC, has disclosed its intention to choose another consensus candidate for northern Nigeria irrespective of party affiliation.

An attempted jail break was yesterday averted at the Jimeta Prison in Yola, Adamawa State capital.
The officer-in-charge of the prison, Mohammed Gwami, was attacked and slightly injured by the inmates. The timely intervention of anti-riot mobile police saved the situation.
