The Vice President is there and basically, the job of any Vice President is to act in the capacity of the principal when the principal is away. So, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has been acting as President in the absence of the President.

Dr. Jonathan who has been criticized for not being assertive has, however, told associates that he would not provoke a fight that could damage the image of the presidency. Associates of both President Yar‘Adua and Acting President Jonathan insist that only a few aides and associates of the President are involved in the seeming hide and seek game that is being played out within the presidency

The big news is that Mr President is back home after exactly 90 days in which he practically disappeared. That’s supposed to have been a thing of joy for all of us, but some evil people have made the event into a “kill-joy.” They smuggled him in at the dead of night (around 2am on Wednesday) and spirited him into a waiting ambulance enroute Aso Rock.

“Go and warn some of your men who are okada operators. I know the town is hard but the issue of their driving against traffic because they are policemen does not augur well. If they should use it for commercial purpose, they should let them out . Driving against traffic is a sign of indiscipline”, he stated.
