Lagos State House of Assembly has set up an ad-hoc committee to probe the activities of the State Joint Account Committee which manages the state’s share from the Federation Account.

Following the havoc wrecked by fire incidence in the country coupled with the delay of lack of of in salvaging the situation, Mr Remi Olowude, Executive Vice-Chairman of IGI has advised fire personnel to go on training.

A TOTAL of 18 suspected members of separate robbery gangs that have been terrorising Lagos metropolis have been arrested by the police and six locally made guns, house breaking implements and a vehicle that was earlier stolen were recovered.

Following the crisis on Monday between Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, officials and commercial bus operators, suspected to be members of unregistered Association of Danfo Drivers of Lagos State, the state government has confirmed the arrest of about 20 people involved in the showdown.
