Alhaji Ladan gave the assurance while receiving the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa at the NNPC towers, Abuja.
He expressed his determination to ensure that the Corporation remains alive to its primary responsibility of providing steady supply and distribution of petroleum products across the length and breadth of the country.

He commended the Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the confidence reposed in him and reassured of his readiness to carry out his new assignment with every sense of responsibility.
“I take my appointment as a very serious assignment given to me by God through the instrumentality of His Excellency, the Acting President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to serve the country and I am determined to deliver positive results,†the NNPC helmsman stated.
Responding, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Yakowa described the appointment of Alhaji Shehu Ladan as the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, by the Acting President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan as well deserved.
He stated that the new NNPC GMD has outstanding career record right from his tenure as the Commissioner of Education and later Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of Kaduna State to his career in NNPC where he rose to the position of Group Executive Director, Commercial and Investment.
“Alhaji Ladan is eminently qualified to lead the NNPC considering his rich experience in the oil and gas industry. We the people of Kaduna State have no doubt that he will do the state and the nation proud during his tenure as the GMD,†Mr Yakowa said.
