AKURE—A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustee Senator Bode Olajumoke, has blamed lack of internal democracy in all the political parties as problems tearing apart the parties and not allowing democracy to strive in the country.
Olajumoke who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on Navy, said some of the visionary leaders of the party had foreseen the problem and warned on the need to stem the tide.
Speaking with newsmen after being conferred with the Ondo State “Role Model award for 2010” by a newspaper in Akure, the Senator said “what is happening in the party was a lesson. The opposition parties are making in-road into the stronghold of the PDP because of the inability of the party to entrench internal democracy.”
Dr Olajumoke is seeking a return to the National Assembly to represent Ondo North senatorial district.
