NOT withstanding the FIFA’s suspension on the country’s football, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said its preparations for this weekend’s 2012 Nations Cup qualifier against Guinea Republic in Conakry and that of the female team ahead of African Women Championship in South Africa were still on course while awaiting the government’s position on the ban.
NFF’s Media Officer, Robinson Okosun, disclosed that the football house was hopeful that the situation would be resolved before this weekend’s African Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Guinea in Conakry.
“We are still going on with our preparations for this weekend’s nation’s cup qualifier.
“The Super Eagles are still training and we hope to go on with the preparations until the last day.“We are waiting for the government to come out with its position on FIFA’s decision,” he said.
