Umuahia—LESS than three weeks he announced his declaration for All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA on the floor of the Senate, Senator Uche Chukwumerje, representing Abia North senatorial zone in Abia State, yesterday dumped his new party and joined PDP.

At the end of a one-day political forum on the current political developments in Abia State, stakeholders in the Abia North senatorial zone of the state resolved they should again move to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by Chukwumereije, a ranking Senator.

Abia North people, made up of former and serving legislators, political office holders and government appointees, met in Umuahia weekend, at the instance of Senator Uche Chukwumerije, and agreed that the zone and the state will better be served in the PDP.

Most of them who spoke noted that they were all PDP members until 2006 when they were allegedly de-registered by the leadership of the party in the state prompting them to leave, saying their mission is just returning home.
