Ilorin — Kwara State government has expelled no fewer than sixteen students from various secondary schools across the state in the on-going SS1 promotion examination over examination malpractice so as to discourage the scourge among the students.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this at the weekend during a visit to a number of secondary schools in Ilorin metropolis.
Alhaji Abdullahi reiterated the determination of the state government to stamp out examination malpractice in all forms in the state, noting that some measures have been put in place to eradicate the menace completely.
He warned students to steer clear of the vice of examination malpractice because the government had made it a policy to make anybody caught in the act to face the full wrath of  the law no matter how highly placed
The commissioner said the expelled students would not be re-admitted to any school in the state in order to serve as a deterrent to others who might be tempted to engage in such malpractice and urged other students to make honesty and hard work their watch word if they intend to excel in their examinations.
