Chinedu Odiah got the marching orders as his club CSKA of Moscow went down to Inter Milan in Tuesday’s Champions League second leg quarter-final.

Ordia who was having a good match was red- carded after he made a hard tackle at Inter’s Samuel Eto’o in the 49th minute. He had earlier on been warned by the referee, Stephane Lannoy in the first half.

Wesley Sneijde put Inter ahead in only six minutes of play from a free kick. The Italian champions held on to the lead despite a spirited fight by CSKA.  Ordia  had a decent shot at goal after making a good run from the right flank, but his effort was smothered into corner by Inter’s keeper Julio Cesar.

Inter qualified into the semi-final with a 2-0 aggregate score having won the first leg with a 1-0 win.

But Odiah’s performance yesterday must have impressed Eagles manager Lars Lagerback who is having headaches over non appearances of Eagles’ players for their various clubs.
