By Emma Amaize

WARRI— WARRI is calm after Monday’s bomb explosions that rocked the post-amnesty dialogue in the oil city, even as security agents have launched a manhunt for the operatives of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, that detonated the bombs.

More Nigerians, among them the traditional ruler of Seimbiri kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Pere Charles Ayemi-Botu, coordinator of the Ijaw Monitoring Group, Comrade Joseph Evah, Barrister Jefferson Uwoghiren  and Chief Michael Johnny  have also condemned the bomb blasts by MEND, saying it was ill-motivated.

Commander of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, ATS, Delta State, Jonathan Acha, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, who confirmed that investigations were on to track down the militants said those who planned the operation wanted to penetrate Government House Annex, Warri.
