Yenagoaâ€”Wife of the Acting President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, weekend tasked Christians to be worthy of emulation by others.
Mrs. Jonathan stated this during the funeral of the late mother of the wife of the former governor of the state, Mrs. Margaret Alamieyeseigha, at Amassoma, in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.
Late Madam Sele Aguozi, aged 80, an indigene of Amassoma, died in February last year.
Speaking ot the occasion,Â Mrs. Patience Jonathan, noted that death was a necessary end and cautioned all humans to be conscious of it by leaving a mark after death.
She described the deceased as peaceful and a woman of good virtues, who associated with top government functionaries when the son in-law, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, was governor of the state, with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as deputy governor.
Mrs. Jonathan, who acknowledged the presence of everybody that had come to commiserate with the Alamieyeseighaâ€™s family, delivered a goodwill message from the acting president, and encouraged the family to be strong.
In an address to the gathering, Governor Timipre Sylva noted that the calibre of people at the funeral was a clear testimony of the worthy life lived by the late Mrs. Sele Aguozi.
