Rangers are doing well but…Chukwu

By Kate Obodo
Former Enugu Rangers Technical Adviser Christian Chukwu during the week took a look at Rangers’ position in the league and said the team is not doing badly, following their third place position in the league.

Last year, some personnel were shown the way out of the club and Chukwu was one of them. The former Green Eagles captain believes the team the team is doing well due to the  determination of the players  but was quick to add that under him, the team was  better off as they occupied the top position in the league as against their third placement now.  He however wished them well in their subsequent matches  and hope they will lift the trophy at the end of the season.

“My absence has nothing  to do with the team’s progress.  Concerning their recent performance, I don’t feel bad seeing them come this far. With or without me the team can always move to  higher level.

“Rangers no doubt, is one of the top clubs we have  in Nigeria. As one of the best in the country, they are expected to do better. I believe the third position is not good enough, I think  it’s good but they can be  better. As at this time when I was in-charge we were topping the league.

“All the same it is not still bad, I know they will still make it to the top, my wish for them is for them to go higher than this even to the level of lifting the trophy at the end of the season,” he said.
