Umuahia—Governor Theodore  Orji of Abia State has praised the performance of the chairman of Obingwa, Local Government Area, Chief Kelechi Nwankpa, particularly for the execution of projects in all the electoral wards of the council.

Governor Orji said the projects executed by the council chairman were in consonance with the PPA campaign promises of bequeathing lasting and sustainable legacies to the people of the state. Governor Orji was represented by his Deputy, Mr Chris Akomas.

Orji made the commendation during his working visit of  Obingwa council area,  where he commissioned  projects completed by the council authorities. Commissioning projects at Amuzu – Ohanze, the Governor noted that with what he saw on ground, the  party was proud to be associated with the chairman’s success.

Governor Orji pointed out that the greatest achievement recorded by the chairman was the decision to centralized the Obingwa Council Headquarters to meet the needs of every section positively. He commended the council chairman  for building a befitting Secretariat for Obingwa council.

Orji described the projects executed at the former Council headquarters, Mgboko as another milestone of the Kelechi Nwankpa’s administration, which he said enabled the Federal Government to accept it as a venue for the Anti-Terrorism Squad and reiterated that with the  concerted efforts of the state government, criminal activities like kidnapping will come to an end in the area.
