ASABA — Delta State National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP), under its Coordinator, Mr. Austin Igbine, has rolled out the first batch of tricycles, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, into the mainstream of commercial transportation in the state.

According to the State Coordinator of the program-me, Mr. Austin Igbine, the Keke-NAPEP scheme was designed to provide affordable and relatively comfortable commercial transportation for Deltans.

He said the programme, especially aimed at youths who are the most likely target beneficiaries, will also break the inter-generational transfer of poverty through invest-ment in human capital and creation of job opportunities.

He, Igbine poured encomiums on his immediate superior, Dr. Magnus Kpakol, the secretary to the State Government, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and Governor  Emmanuel Uduaghan for their support and interest which facilitated the prompt delivery of this batch of 114 tricycles to the state, thus complementing Uduaghan’s three point agenda.
