NFF plans Four-Nations tournament with Brazil

Ahead South Africa 2010 World Cup finals, the Nigeria Football Federation is planning a Four-Nation tournament with the inclusion of Brazil among the teams to be involved in the event to prepare the Eagles for the most prestigious global soccer game.
A dependable NFF source stated that a letter to that effect is being prepared to the world soccer governing body, Fifa, to ensure a period in next April is granted to hold the tournament while the marketing department is working out the theory of garnering corporate organisations to bankroll the tournament.


Aside Brazil that is being wooed to be involved in the tournament, it was understood that the NFF is working hard to ensure it gets tough teams in Europe to participate in the selected Four-Nation Tournament that is expected to keep the ultra modern Abuja National Stadium busy for the period.

It was however learnt that contacts are being made to corporate bodies to identify with the NFF in its quest to bring the world’s best teams to Abuja ahead the South Africa World Cup.
